one of the masterpiece paintings from post-Impressionist Dutch Master Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890). Vincent Van Gogh has produced all of his works, which included 864 paintings and 1,200 drawings and prints, within a decade. Van Gogh has done most of his paintings outdoors and had a special talent for capturing the subtleties of nighttime light and shadow. Van Gogh has sold only one painting, composed in his more than a decade artistic career, in his lifetime and has endured as one of the last century's most influential artists. Church at Auvers is done on high-quality art print that produces vivid color and exceptional detail of the original. Vincent van Gogh worked on this masterpiece in the last year of his life while struggling with mental illness and emotional problems. Van Gogh exhibited the church as a place of impending doom and gloom instead of a place of refuge and solace. Van Gogh wrote about the Church at Auvres his sister, "I have a larger picture of the village church, an effect in which the building appears to be violet hued against a sky of simple deep blue color, pure cobalt; the stained-glass windows appear as ultramarine blotches, the roof is violet and partly orange. In the foreground some green plants in bloom, and sand with the pink flow of sunshine in it. And once again it is nearly the same thing as the studies I did in Nuenen of the old tower and the cemetery, only it is probably that now the color is more expressive, more sumptuous."  After leaving the asylum at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence on May 16 1890, Van Gogh travelled to south of France and then to north. After visiting his brother Theo in Paris, he moved to Auvers-sur-Oise for treatement by Dr Paul Gachet. Van Gogh has spent last ten weeks of life here and has produced about seventy workds including The Church at Auvers. Along with other art paintings of Van Gogh that exhibited small houses with thatched roofs as The Town Hall at Auvers and several other paintings, The Church at Auvers depicts the scenes from the northern landscapes of his childhood and youth.
