Paul Cézanne was a Post-Impressionist painter whose Oil Paintings bridged the 19th century Impressionism and 20th century Cubism. The artist's impact on the art movement was very great that Paul Cézanne's Painted Arts even influenced great painters such as Matisse and Picasso. Despite Paul Cézanne's great talent as a painter that the artist often expressed in his Painted Arts, Paul Cézanne had to struggle in his career of choice. Although Paul Cézanne had financial freedom from inheriting a fortune from his father, Louis-August Cézanne.
Paul Cézanne's father did not agree to his son's choice of career. This did not deter Paul Cézanne and he continued to create Oil Paintings that would influence a generation.
This belief however was not agreed upon by some sections of the art industry during his time, namely Henri Rochefort who had written an article in L'Intransigeant a vicious article that turned the residents of Paul Cézanne's beloved Aix-en-Provence against him. Paul Cézanne persevered and he created a series of Oil Paintings that focused on perspectives, namely the concept of depth perception as the artist went about his Painted Arts taking into consideration the differences between the left and right eye.
This resulted in a series of Oil Paintings that treated objects by there geometric shape, cylindrical and spherical shapes in particular.
