Annunciation

Amongst the all incomparable art gallery paintings of the famous painter Leonardo da Vinci, Annunciation is the perfect and combined reproduction of him along with Andrea del Verrocchio. This unique painting was one of the exceptional art prints on canvas which was completed in the period of 3 years, initiating from 1472 and grandly completed in 1475. The dimensions of this gracious painting are 98 cm x 217 cm. In this magnificent painting, Verrocchio has utilized the paint which was lead based and has integrated strokes of heavy brush. However, Leonardo has contrastingly used strokes of light brush and totally avoided the integration of lead base paint.When this beautiful painting was X-rayed, it had astonishingly demonstrated that the painting of Verrocchio was quite evident but Leonardo's angel was amazingly invisible. In this painting, the table which is located in the front of Virgin Mary is actually the tomb of Piero   and Giovanni de' Medici in Basilica of San Lorenzo at Florence.It is said that the wings in the painting were originally copied by Leonardo imagining the wings of a flying bird.  However, the wings in the painting were later extended by another unknown artist. It is also clearly seen in the painting, angel holding a Madonna lily which truly symbolizes the virginity of Mary. This painting is undoubtedly one of the loveliest art prints on canvas.Although this is one of the best collections of art gallery paintings but unfortunately the nestling of this painting is still unspecified. In 1867, this painting was brought to Uffizi from monastery of San Bartolomeo of Monteoliveto which is situated near Florence. Still the exact location of this painting is a controversial issue and it is not proved that   whether this painting was exhibited in Japan in 2007 or not.
