Ballet of the Paris Opera

Edgar Degas created Ballet of the Paris Opera in approximately 1877.

The handmade oil painting is a beautiful description of the ballet of the Parisian Opera and comes out elegantly. Ballet is believed to be the artist's patent theme and in this particular artwork, Degas shows an official ballet school scenario of the Paris Opera.

An orchestra pit view, the main dancer in the centre is seen performing while the random dancers surrounding appear to be rehearsing. Pastel used in the painting adds to the essence of the young dancers.
